Before you start

Use an Android device and keep the browser open until the file has finished downloading. A file that is still marked as pending or incomplete is not ready to install.

Check available storage in Android Settings. Installation needs room for both the downloaded package and the installed app.

Find the completed file

  1. Open Downloads

In Chrome, open the menu and choose Downloads. You can also use the Downloads folder in your phone’s file manager.

  2. Choose the completed package

Check the file type and completion status. Avoid opening duplicate files when an earlier download is still running.

  3. Review the installer

Read the app name and the information Android displays before you choose to install.

Review Android’s source prompt

Some Android versions ask for permission for the browser or file manager to install an app. Read the source-specific prompt and decide whether you recognise and trust the source.

Keep device protection enabled. If Android blocks the package or reports a security concern, stop and review the message before proceeding. Menu names vary between phone manufacturers.

Open the app after installation

When the installer finishes, use Open or find the app in your launcher. Follow the current on-screen instructions and use your existing account method if you have played before.

If you cannot reach the opening screen, record the message and the Android version shown in Settings. That detail is more useful than retrying the same step repeatedly.

Ready to open the app?

Start the download, then follow the steps on your Android device.
